If you can honestly say that you don't love this Christmas classic, rendered in that slow, smoky style that makes you picture a holiday party with people lined up to do the Stroll, then you must be some kind of grinchy person who hates candy canes, pretty presents and the Baby Jesus. Because, c'mon. The Eagles? Don Henley's voice, still so sweet even in 1999 with the "play it, Don" and Don Felder's little solo that will remind you warmly of every Eagles song you ever knew and loved back when you were in high school? It's enough to make you want to throw your arms around Joe Walsh and weep sentimentally onto his shirt front. He seems like a nice guy; I think he'd let me do that.
