Meelyn just came into the dining room, where I was sitting at my desk working.
"Hi," she said.
"Hi," I returned. "Whatcha doin'?"
"Oh, I'm a little bored. I thought I'd do some math."
It's either the beginning of the Second Coming or God has just invented a non-greasy, non-staining balm for the weary soul.
